The KYN28-12 steel-clad movable-type AC metal switchgear (hereinafter referred to as switch cabinet) is applicable to the complete power distribution device of the single bus section system with the three-phase AC frequency of 50Hz and voltage of 3.6~12kV to accept and distribute the network electric energy as well as control, protection and monitor the circuit. It is widely applied to the industries such as electric power, metallurgy, petrochemical industry and urban construction and so on.


      The KYN28-12 steel-clad movable-type AC metal switchgear (hereinafter referred to as switch cabinet) is applicable to the complete power distribution device of the single bus section system with the three-phase AC frequency of 50Hz and voltage of 3.6~12kV to accept and distribute the network electric energy as well as control, protection and monitor the circuit. It is widely applied to the industries such as electric power, metallurgy, petrochemical industry and urban construction and so on.

      This switch cabinet meets the relevant requirements of the standards such as IEC 298, GB3906 and DL/T404 and so on as well as has improved “five prevention” functions. The breakers such as VD4, 3AH, EV12, VB2, VSI (ZN63A), VDS (ZN63C), AN18 (VK) etc. can be equipped.

Basic Structure 

1.This switch cabinet is mainly composed of two parts, including the cabinet and movable part (handcart for short). The protection grade of the external hub is IP4X, while the protection grade of all isolation rooms is IP2X, having the plans such as overhead incoming and outgoing, cable incoming and outgoing and other functions. The installation, debugging and maintenance of the switch cabinet can be carried out in front, thus the installation can be carried out in front and rear of the cabinet.

This switch cabinet is made of the Al-Zin alloy plate and machined by the CNC tool. The multiple folding is used. It has good appearance, high precision, high intensity, corrosion resistance and oxidization resistance.

1.According to different applications, the handcarts can be divided into the breaker handcart, voltage transformer handcart, metering handcart and isolating handcart. The handcarts with the same specification can be freely exchanged. The handcart has the test (isolation) position and operating position in the cabinet and each position has the positioning device to ensure reliable interlocking. When the handcart should be removed out from the cabinet, it can be easily removed out with a specific transfer cart for various inspections and maintenances.
2.After the breaker handcart is pushed into the cabinet with a specific transfer cart, it is first positioned at the test (isolation) position. After the handcart is locked in the cabinet, the mechanism can be swayed and pushed. The handcar is pushed to the operating position.

1.The switch cabinet is divided into the handcart room, main bus room, cable room and relay room according to the main functional components in the cabinet (please see Figure 2).

A Main Bus Room 
The three-phase rectangular copper bus is installed in the main bus room. The main bus rooms of all switch cabinets are connected though the casing. In case of internal failure arc, the accident can be effectively limited into the compartment without spread to other cabinets.

B Handcart Room 
The rail guides are set on both sides of the bottom of the handcart to lock the handcart chassis and make the handcart move between the test (isolation) position and operating position. The movable curtain plate is set in front of the contact and installation plate in the compartment, which can be automatically opened when the handcart moves from the test (isolation) position to the operating position. When it moves in the reverse direction the movable curtain plate is automatically closed to form an effective protective isolation. The upper and lower curtain plates independently move and are locked respectively. When the maintenance is carried out, the movable door on the other side can be locked to guarantee the maintenance and personal safety of the maintenance personnel.

C Relay Room 
The relay room is used to install the secondary components such as relay protection and control components and so on.

D Cable Room 
The cable room is spacious, with the cable installation height of greater than 700mm and several cables can be installed. According to the requirements of the major loop plan, the current transformer, grounding switch and arrester etc. can be installed in the cable room. The main cable incoming and outgoing holes and dismountable shrouding are set on the baseplate of the switch cabinet for easy construction and maintenance.

Interlocking Device to Prevent Misoperation 
1.The safe and reliable interlocking device is installed in the switchgear, completely meeting the requirements of “five preventions”.
2.The indicative button or KK type change-over switch is installed on the meter door to prevent mis-connection and mis-disconnection of the breaker;
3.When the breaker handcart is at the test (isolation) position or operating position, the breaker can be connected or disconnected. When the breaker is connected the feed mechanism of the handcart cannot be operated to prevent the breaker push or pull with load;
4.Only when the grounding switch and breaker are at the disconnection state, the handcart can move to the operating position;
5.After the breaker quits to the test position or is moved out of the cabinet, the grounding switch can be connected;
6.When the grounding switch is at the disconnection state, the rear door (or rear shrouding) cannot be opened, preventing the entry to the charged compartment.
7.When the breaker handcart is at the operating position, the secondary plug is locked and cannot be plugged out;
8.The electric or mechanical interlocking can be set between cabinets according to the requirements.

Pressure Relief Device 
The pressure relief devices are set on the top of the handcart room, main bus room and cable room. When there is internal failure arc in the room, the pressure in the switch cabinet is increased and the pressure relief metal plate installed at the top is automatically opened to release pressure and discharge gas, ensuring the personnel and switch cabinet safety.

Grounding Device 
The grounding copper bar is independently set in the cable room, which crosses all neighboring cabinets and well contacts with them. It makes the whole set of cabinets in the good grounding state, ensuring that the operators are safe when they contact the cabinet.

Installation, Debugging and Use 
The switchgear should be installed in the dry, tidy and ventilated power distribution room. When installing, the completion acceptance should be carried out for the basic framework and terrace of the switch cabinet in the power distribution room and door and window decoration and indoor lighting and ventilation engineering in the power distribution room should be basically completed.

Product Installation 
For the basic dimension and installation dimension of the switch cabinet, please see Figure 3 and Figure 4.

1.When the switch cabinet is independently arranged, the width of the corridor in front of the cabinet should be greater than 2.5m, while the width of the corridor in the operation room should be greater than 3m if the switch cabinet is arranged in double lines.
2.During the transportation process of the switchgear, the specific transportation tool such as crane or forklift should be used. The roller crowbar is not allowed and it is not allowed to push the breaker handcart into the cabinet for transportation. The handcart can be push into the corresponding compartment after the cabinet is well installed.

The installation step suggestions of the switch cabinet are as follows:
1.Disassemble the rear shrouding of the bus room.
2.Disassemble the primary cable shrouding.
3.Disassemble the secondary cable trunking cover plate.
4.Now the switch cabinets can be combined one by one. If the quantity of the switch cabinet of a row is more than 10, it is suggested to combine them from the middle to both sides. The installation unevenness in the vertical and horizontal directions of the switch cabinet should be not greater than 2mm.
5.After the switch cabinet is well combined, the switch cabinet can be connected with the foundation with M12 bolt or through welding. Check whether the main bus casing is intact. After the bus contact surface is wiped and conductive paste is pasted, get the bus through the main bus casing. The installation of the main bus should be alternatively carried out with the assembly of the switch cabinet to avoid the difficulty to get through the main bus after the assembly of the whole row of cabinets. After the switch cabinet is installed, connect the main grounding lines of all cabinets with connecting pieces.

Use and Maintenance 
Before the switch cabinet is used, the places surrounding it should be cleaned. Check whether the fasteners of all parts are loosened and whether the wiring of various electrical equipment drops. Pull and push the cart in the switch cabinet as well as connect and disconnect the breaker to observe whether there is any anomaly. Check whether the interlocking mechanism is correct and carry out various tests required by the specification.

Operation Specification 
Push the handcart into the cabinet with the transfer cart, lock it and remove the transfer cart.
Operation of the handcart in the cabinet
1.First open the rear door (or rear shrouding). Open the front lower door and divide the grounding switch if any.
2.Plug in the secondary plug-in and connect the secondary power supply. Now carry out the electric operation test for the handcart when the main loop is not powered on.
3.From the test position to the operating position 
Confirm that the breaker is in the disconnection state, insert the handle and anticlockwise rotate it. Take down the handle after the sound of “tap-tap” and it does not move. The handcart returns to the test position. Now the main loop is completely disconnected and the metal movable curtain plate is closed, the grounding switch can be operated. If you want to take the handcart out of the cabinet, please first confirm that it is at the test position and in the disconnection state, then open the cabinet door, lock the transfer cart and cabinet, pull out the secondary plug-in and lock it on the handcart. After the handcart is delocked, put it out of the cabinet and lock it on the transfer cart. After various inspections and tests are completed, if they are normal, the handcart can be moved to the operating position for powering on according to the operation specification. After the switch cabinet is operated normally, record the operation situation according to the actual situation and carry out the regular maintenance according to the requirements of the breaker, operating mechanism and other components. In case of anomalies, please timely find out the causes for troubleshooting or notify the manufacturer for handling them. 


Except for the maintenance of the switch cabinet according to the relevant specification requirements, the users are suggested to pay attention to the following items:
1.According to the requirements of the installation instructions of the vacuum breaker, check the breaker and carry out the necessary adjustment.
2.Check the handcart feed mechanism and its interlocking situation to make them meet the relevant requirements of the instructions.
3.Check the main loop contact, wipe the residual grease on the dynamic and static contacts, check whether the contact is damaged, whether the spring force has obvious change, whether there is abnormal oxidization of the coating resulted from over-temperature and carry out the necessary adjustment.
4.Check whether the auxiliary loop contact has anomaly and carry out the necessary adjustment.
5.Check all parts of the grounding loops. For the grounding contact, please check the main grounding wire and access grounding wire etc. to ensure its conductive continuity.
6.Check the fasteners of all parts. If they are loosened, please timely tighten them.

Ordering Notes 
Please provide the following materials when ordering:
1.Main wiring plan No., application and single wire system diagram; rated voltage, rated current, ranted short-circuit drop-out current and arrangement diagram of the switch cabinet and floor plan of the power distribution room;
2.Secondary schematic diagram, terminal arrangement diagram. Arrange the terminals according to the terminal arrangement of the manufacturer if there is no terminal arrangement diagram;
3.Model, specification and quantity of the main electrical components in the switch cabinet;
4.Summary sheet of the electric equipment;
5.When the bus bridge (the bus bridge between two lines of cabinets and that between the wall and cabinet) is required, the specific dimensions such as rated carrying capacity and span of the bus bridge as well as height from the ground etc. should be provided;
6.When the switch cabinet is used under the special environmental conditions, it should be specified in detail when ordering;
7.When other components or components beyond the accessories are required, please propose the type and quantity;
8.Other special requirements.
